Dear Amazon, WTF?

I love my Kindle. I really do. I just love knowing that I have over 100 books with me at all times and the ability to download a new one at a moment's notice. Books are my thing. And I am happy, for the most part, with Amazon.

But recently I have discovered something that bugs me. I was looking for Atlas Shrugged, which I could buy on the site in paperback for $9.99... yet the Kindle price is $18.99. Um, what? Seriously? What is up with that? I have to pay nearly DOUBLE the price for the eBook version? I don't get it.

This is not the first book that I have run across with a significantly higher eBook version price. And Amazon seems to think this is okay as long as they stick a "Price set by publisher" disclaimer in there somewhere. Well, shame on Penguin and shame on Amazon. That's just ridiculous.
